Jamie Dixon is the founder and operator of Northern Predator Management Solutions (NPMS), an Indigenous-owned and veteran-owned biosecurity business operating across North Queensland.
Jamie served 16 years as an Airfield Defence Guard in the Royal Australian Air Force, reaching the rank of Sergeant (SGT). He specialised in tracking, thermal drone intelligence operations, field craft and survival.
He deployed to the Middle East on warlike operations on three occasions and finished his career in the Australian Defence Force as a Combat Survival Instructor.
Trade background: Prior to his career in Defence, Jamie trained and worked as a carpenter. That trade background underpins NPMS’ practical approach to problem-solving in the field, including the design and construction of fit‑for‑purpose trapping systems.
Custom-built traps: NPMS designs and builds its own traps in‑house, allowing programs to be tailored to species behaviour, terrain, access constraints, and animal welfare outcomes.
Jamie is a Distinguished Cross Rifles shooter, qualified in Enhanced Combat Shooting, a coach in pistol, rifle and machine gun, and holds Range Officer in Charge (Range OIC) qualifications.
During his time teaching survival and fieldcraft in remote Australia, he developed a deep respect for how fragile our ecosystems are — sparking a passion to protect Country through professional, safety-led biosecurity operations.
